There is a fine line between genius and crazy…

This is the final stretch of this semester.  There is only a week and half left.  I am SUPER excited for this semester to be over, but I am always excited for a semester to be over.  I have had HUGE projects in every class and they are finally starting to come together.  Thank whatever god you believe in…cause I needed it!

I always freak out about a month before classes are over.  All I can think about is gloom and doom, but I always pull through better than what I thought I was going to do.  It is almost like I have to freak out or the genius won’t come.  I’m sure the closes people around me wish I didn’t have to freak out, but such is life…

I don’t know if I pulled out genius this semester, but I sure did try…

I will get back to you next week to let you know how it went.  Until then wish me luck.

my dog Pancake!

I love my dog, her name is Pancake.  She is an 8 1/2 year old mutt with an attitude.  My ex-roommate found her in a trash can, it wasn’t because she was left there,  it was because she is scavenger.  The only thing that I have found that she won’t eat is pickles.

When Pancake was about four months old she got into it with a one eyed cat named turbo.  Turbo won that battle and now pancake is blind in her brown eye (she has one blue and one brown eye.)  For a free dog pancake ended up costing me about $1,500 that day for emergency surgery.  I didn’t mind though, she is a love of my life.

Her favorite treat is beer.  (She doesn’t get it unless I have guests over.)  Don’t set your beer down at my house, she will knock it over and go after it every time or stare at you until you give it to her.  She has a staring problem really…if you are sitting were she wants to nap, she will stare at you until you get up.  If she is hungry or needs to go outside, she will stare at you until you do what she wants.

She loves socks, she loves knocking every blanket and pillow off of the couch until she is comfortable, it’s extremely entertaining.  She loves to bark, she is very vocal dog.

Pancake I know that you will never read this, because you’re a dog, but I want to thank you for the last 8 ½ years.  I also want to thank you for hopefully the next 8 ½ more years.  You are always there for me when I need someone to talk to or just need a hug.  I LOVE YOU PANCAKE!

HOLY GUACAMOLE BATMAN, THIS SEMESTER IS ALMOST OVER!

Holy Crap!  I have so much time and not enough to do…no that’s not it, let’s try this again. I have so much to do and not enough time!   This semester is challenging my multi-tasking skills.  I have major projects in all classes and have only touched the surface on most of them.  I know that I will get them done, but I might sprout my first gray hair this semester as well.  Wish me luck… :/

CAN Child Abuse Network

On Friday I am going to meet with the coordinator for my non-profit organization media kit final project-that was a mouth full!   This project was given to me in my persuasive writing class.  I am extremely excited to be working with a wonderful organization that helps abused kids talk about what happened in a comfortable environment.  This will also be a challenge for me.  It is hard for me and I’m sure the rest of the normal world to think of a child in bad situation let alone an abusive one.  I admire this organization for making this a safe place for kids.  If you would like to learn more about this organization please visit them at www.childabusenetwork.org/

pro·cras·ti·na·tion

pro·cras·ti·na·tion
[proh-kras-tuh-ney-shuhn, pruh
]
noun: the act or habit of procrastinating, or putting off or delaying, especially something requiring immediate attention.
Please use in a sentence: She was smart, but her constant procrastination led her to be late with almost every assignment. (Out of all the definitions that are on the web for procrastination, I thought this one was most appropriate.)

I was trying to come up with things on stuff to say this week and nothing came up.  I feel like my mind is on so many different projects that my creative mind has left.  Plus, a major project for another class has been weighing heavily…

So since because I don’t have much to say this week I will leave you with You Tube videos about procrastination:
